We’ve answered some of the commonest questions about the Carnet Jove.

THE CARD

Who can apply for the Carnet Jove?

Anyone aged between 12 and 30, inclusive, can apply for a Carnet Jove. Once you’re 31, you can no longer use the Carnet Jove.

 

How long is the Carnet Jove valid?

The Carnet Jove is valid for two years. You can then renew it for another two years. Remember that the valid age range is 12 to 30, inclusive.

 

Where can I get the Carnet Jove?

You can get the Carnet Jove Clàssic at the Associació Carnet Jove Andorra office or the youth information point in your town.

You can get the 16PUNT30 (Carnet Jove + 16PUNT30 debit card) at Crèdit Andorrà branches.

Who can apply for the Carnet Jove?

Can I apply for the Carnet Jove online?

Yes. You can apply for the Carnet Jove Clàssic online on this website, www.carnetjove.ad, by filling in the form in the section The Card / Apply online.

Simply fill in the form with your details and upload a passport-size photograph of you. Once you’ve sent your details and the photo, you can pick up your card at the Associació Carnet Jove Andorra office.

 

Can I apply for the Carnet Jove online if I’m underage?

Yes, provided you have your parents’ or your tutor’s consent, which should you state on the form.

 

Can I apply for the Carnet Jove by phone?

No. You can only apply for it at the Associació Carnet Jove Andorra office, the youth information point in your town, at Crèdit Andorrà branches (Carnet Jove 16PUNT30) or online.

 

What do I need to apply for the Carnet Jove?

If you’re aged between 12 and 30, inclusive, you have to provide a passport or ID card to show you fall within the valid age range.

When you apply for the Carnet Jove you have to bring:

  • passport or ID card
  • passport-size photo

How much does the Carnet Jove cost?

The Carnet Jove costs €6 and is valid for two years. You can then renew it for €6.

 

Is the Carnet Jove an ID card and proof of age?

No. In Andorra you can’t use the Carnet Jove as an ID card or proof of age.

The Carnet Jove is a card that grants you access to a series of services, advantages and discounts as part of the Carnet Jove programme in Andorra and other European countries.

To take advantage of an offer at a shop or other organization giving discounts, you should show your passport or ID card to prove you are the cardholder.

Shops and organisations may confiscate a Carnet Jove if they suspect it is being used fraudulently and will contact our office immediately:

My Carnet Jove has expired. What should I do?

If your card has expired, you should apply for another one at the Associació Carnet Jove Andorra office, the youth information point in your town or your local Crèdit Andorrà branch (Carnet Jove 16PUNT30). You can also apply online.

If your card has expired, participating shops and other organizations may refuse to give you a discount.

 

I’ve lost my Carnet Jove. What should I do?

If you’ve lost your Carnet Jove or had it stolen, you should go to the Associació Carnet Jove Andorra office, where you’ll be given a new card if your Carnet Jove is still valid. If it has expired, you’ll have to renew it and pay the €6 fee. You can also email us at contacte@carnetjove.ad or call us on (+376) 86 49 76.

If you’ve lost your Carnet Jove 16PUNT30 or had it stolen, you should contact your Crèdit Andorrà branch immediately. The 24-hour phone line for cancelling cards is: (+376) 88 87 00.

 

What should I do if my card gets damaged?

If your Carnet Jove has got damaged and you think it’s no longer usable, come to the Associació Carnet Jove Andorra office and we’ll give you a new one. You’ll only have to pay the €6 fee if it has expired.

DISCOUNTS

What advantages and discounts can I get with the Carnet Jove?

The Carnet Jove offers you a wide range of advantages and discounts in areas such as sport, culture, leisure, accommodation, transport and travel, amongst others.

You can enjoy all the advantages and discounts in Andorra and the 38 countries on the Youth Card programme.

You can search for discounts on the database using different category and town options depending on where it is on offer.

 

Can my friends and family take advantage of the advantages and discounts?

Unfortunately not. The Carnet Jove is personal and non-transferable. Only the cardholder can use the services and discounts provided by the Carnet Jove.

 

Can I only use my Carnet Jove in Andorra?

The Carnet Jove is valid in 38 European countries. Since they all use the Youth Card logo, it’s easy to spot the shops and organizations with discounts. There are over 80,000 discounts across Europe.

How can I tell whether a shop or service will give me discounts with my Carnet Jove?

One way of finding out whether a shop gives discounts with the Carnet Jove is looking for the Carnet Jove sticker in a clearly visible place, such as the entrance.

In addition, you can always check all the advantages and discounts in Andorra and Europe by using the offer search engine on our website.

 

I thought a place would give me a discount, but they didn’t. Why?

If you the discount appeared on our website www.carnetjove.ad or you found it on the online database, get in contact with us and we’ll find out what might have happened.

Remember that you should be able to spot places giving discounts with the Carnet Jove by looking for the sticker showing that the shop or organization forms part of the programme.

If this discount doesn’t appear on our website or online database and the place doesn’t have the Carnet Jove sticker, then this shop or organization does not give discounts with the Carnet Jove.

How can I get the Carnet Jove pack of discount vouchers?

If you have the Carnet Jove Clàssic, you should go to the Associació Carnet Jove Andorra office (Centre Cultural La Llacuna, 2n pis, Andorra la Vella) or the youth information point in your town. If you have the Carnet Jove 16PUNT30, you should go to a Crèdit Andorrà branch.

If you haven’t got your Carnet Jove yet, you should apply for it to make the most of the Carnet Jove Pack, which we give away every year to Carnet Jove cardholders in Andorra.

 

I have a shop or company and I’m interested in giving discounts. What should I do?

If you want to get the monthly Carnet Jove e-newsletter, you need to get your mother, father or tutor’s consent to use your personal data to send you information on the Carnet Jove.

How can I get the monthly Carnet Jove e-newsletter?

To get the monthly Carnet Jove e-newsletter, first of all you have to give your consent for us to use your email when you apply for the card. We’ll email you the e-newsletter at the start of the month.

Another option is to sign up on the website. First of all you’ll get an email to confirm your email address is valid and you want to get the e-newsletter. You should check your junk mail box in case it gets sent there.

Some of my personal data have changed. What should I do?

If you have a new address, telephone number or email address, or there have been changes to any other important personal data, get in contact with us and we’ll update your data.

You have three ways of doing it: email us at contacte@carnetjove.ad, call us on (+376) 86 49 76 or come to the Associació Carnet Jove Andorra office in person.

If you can’t find the answer to your question, don’t hesitate to contact us and we’ll do all we can to help you.
